Top 10 on my Bucket List
By Aimee on
So I was going through my stuff on my computer and having a clean out when I found my bucket list that I had written late 2014. Going through that list I noticed that I had actually crossed a lot off in the last couple of years. Some simple things like finish reading “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert, and giving to charity (I make a small donation each month to Greenpeace) but others I have gone and surprised myself with. Like buying a nice car, doing pole-dancing lessons, getting a sexy photoshoot, and flying to the other side of the country to see my best friend. Which I did twice last year, once because I just had to see her and catch up and once because she was getting married. Much love to you my dearest.
Looking at this list has given me an idea to rewrite and tweak this list with new things and share it with you so you can get to know me better. I am new to this blogging lifestyle but I feel it is important to connect to my readers to make me more real and what better way to do that then showing you my ultimate goals in life!
My (new and improved) Bucket List!
1: Visit every single Disney land
This is my ultimate dream and is slowly coming true! I have written a bit more about this in another post which you can find here
2: See Japan
Now this one is coming real later this year so I know I can cross this off soon! Pretty excited about this one.
3: Sky Dive
I think this is one of those things that is on almost everyone’s list but I also want to do this for myself anyway because I think there is a reason in makes people’s lists… It’s awesome!
4: Get matching tattoos with my Mum
Now I’m hoping I can organise this for later in the year. For the last couple of years now my mum and I have been talking about getting matching Snoopy and Woodstock tattoos on our ankles and by George it will happen!.
5: Adopt a pet
Now technically I have already done this one, I adopted a turtle but sadly he passed away and I have a hole in my heart that can only be filled by a furry (or scaly) creature. Renting makes this difficult but I will make this happen!
6: See the Northern Lights
Now you might be getting the idea that I like to travel, well yea… ever since I was little I was going places and the northern lights have intrigued me ever since I watched the animated film Balto.
7: Experience New Year’s Eve in a different country
Being Australian our New Year’s Eve parties are normally hot, so we go to the beach or have a water fight, get drunk and sweat our way into the New Year. Which is always fun but I would also like to rug up somewhere its cold and experience a totally different type of New Years.
8: Create a reading nook
This is an absolute must for me when I own a home, which reminds me that I should probably be putting that on my list as well, I have always seen a reading nook as a beautiful escape into the magical worlds found in stories.
9: Make a difference
This one is a little broad but as a teacher (well almost) I want to be a positive influence in the lives of all the students that I teach. I had a number of teachers make a difference in my life and I want to be that teacher, the one that makes students believe in themselves.
10: Laugh
Every day I want to laugh at something because I think life is too short not to have fun. Yes you will have bad days and I’m not saying your whole life will be a hoot! But I honestly believe in something good in everything, even if you can’t see it just yet, and laughing just feels good.
11: Start a Family.
Now I wasn’t going to add this one in but I think as much as I want to go out and do awesome things and risk my life and get tattoos and travel the world one of the things I want most in life before I “kick the bucket” is to raise a family. I’m not sure if this is something that most people put on a list but I’m putting it on mine.
So there you have it! My Bucket list. I hope it inspires you just as much as it inspires me.
