28 Day Transformation Challenge

Well then, where do I start? I guess I start with the friend who said ‘Aimee! If we don’t do something intensive we will keep growing.’ and I knew she meant out-wards not up-wards. We signed up for a 28 day body transformation challenge, paid our money and got weighed in. Man, it was tough to look at those scales, I was 69.2 kg and the heaviest I have ever been. Read more

2 Weeks in Japan - Part 2

Part 2 will cover our journey through Nagoya and Tokyo. We had organised more AirBnBs to stay in whilst in both places and were fairly happy with Nagoya but sadly very disappointed with Tokyo. We were pretty busy for most days but it is always nice to come home to a comfy bed with enough room to stretch out and maybe have a cheap meal, which wasn’t really all that possible in Tokyo. 2 Weeks in Japan - Part 1

We have just gotten back from an amazing adventure travelling around Japan. We had been planning this trip for what seemed like forever but was honestly only about 6-8 months. I had never been to an Asian country before but my partner had already spent a year living and working in China. Not that China and Japan are the same but for me it was a big difference to what I had seen and done before. Read more

Knitting Pattern - Teddy Bear

I had never knitted something so intricate in my entire life and was super proud of myself for knitting this beautiful bear. In saying that, this knitting pattern is super easy to understand and if I did get stuck on something I was able you YouTube it or Google it. How amazing the internet is for finding things out. I have always been one for self-learning and teaching myself things. Read more

Soft Pretzels Recipe

When my best friend came over from Perth recently we decided to do a little bit of baking. Now we’ve both never made pretzels before and thought how hard can this be? Turns out, its actually not so bad but we had to alter the recipe we were using a little bit do make it work for us. I grew up in the Adelaide hills living close to the German town of Hahndorf where with every meal you eat yourselves full of bratwurst and tasty as soft salty pretzels and on the day we decided what to bake I had a hankering for these Hahndorf pretzels, and I’ve got to say ours turned out pretty close. Inspired #1

Mother’s Day 2016 For the majority of my life this mother of mine raised us single-handedly which was tough. We came from a low socio-economic upbringing yet she still managed to somehow put us through private school for our primary years. That school was one of the best things to happen to us and our education. Socially, not so great as we were different but I have so many fantastic memories and learning experiences that have come from that school that I thank my mother for every day. Read more

Spring/Summer Carry On Checklist

So let’s be honest here, I know that many people have gone Pinterest hunting for help on how to pack for their trip away, myself included. So why am I creating a checklist when there is already so many out there? Because I love lists! I love double checking with what I have put on my list and ticking things off or highlighting them. It makes me feel like I have achieved something. Read more

Christmas Fish

Now I know that it isn’t Christmas, but I did cook this fish the other night and Sam told me I should add it as a recipe because it’s simple and delicious. I’ve called it Christmas fish simply because I usually only ever make it at Christmas time. In Australia we’re all about seafood at Christmas and a number of years ago I decided I would cook a fish. I was given this beautiful Thai Basil plant and so that became one of the main ingredients to this dish. Read more

Breakfast Treats

I don’t know about you but I have to say that breakfast has got to be my favourite meal of the day. It has been long said that it is the most important and I don’t think I can disagree. It gives you the energy you need to make it through your morning and hopefully keeps you full long enough to make a healthy decision for lunch instead of going for that doughnut and meat pie at the bakery (even though that is a tasty decision and I literally ate that today). Disneyland

Let me introduce you to my love of Disney! Ever since I was a small child I have had a love of Disney. My mum still has all of our VHS movies at her house and I’m not ashamed to say I spent my last Christmas Eve on my Mum’s couch watching Peter Pan and the Jungle Book. Now it is my ultimate life goal to travel to every single Disneyland and so far I have been able to cross two from my list. Read more
