My Capsule Wardrobe

So I started looking into capsule wardrobes when I started researching Hong Kong. Sam and I are planning on travelling there later next year and knowing me, I started making lists and doing research. Whilst doing my research and looking up travel clothing lists I came across capsule wardrobes. I thought it was wonderful and simple and just like the bullet journals I realised it is how Sam organises his wardrobe already. Read more

Peanut butter and Choc Chip Cookies

So for my birthday I received an amazing kitchenaid mixer in fire engine red and I love it! I was pretty eager to use it and stumbled across this recipe here. It is amazing. I wasn’t sure at first about the quantity of peanut butter but it was perfect. Obviously with us being in Australia I changed it from 350f to 175c and I didn’t have an ice-cream scoop so I just used two soup spoons and shaped the dough into rounds then pressed down on it lightly. Wall Puzzle

I’ve been meaning to write this one up for ages. I’ve had the project finished and hanging in Poppy’s bedroom since before she was born. I had honestly forgotten I had the photos until I went through and cleaned up my phone recently. This is something that is really easy, fun and versatile. I have a Disney puzzle as I am a huge Disney fan. But any puzzle can be saved and displayed this way. Read more

The future of Dungeons and Dragons… literally. Many years have passed, and you now role play in a futuristic galaxy with aliens, monsters, starships and a variety of planets. The things that haven’t changed is your dungeon crawling, looting and battles. Our group have recently changed to starfinder after almost a year of playing the same characters from my last D&D blog post. We still love them but it was time for a change. Read more

Bucket List 2.0

So when I first started this blog one of my first posts was about my bucket list. I thought I would revisit this and see what I’ve done in the last two years. The list was as follows and the things I’ve completed are crossed out. Some things aren’t relevant anymore either and won’t make the new list. Visit every single Disneyland See Japan Sky Dive Get matching tattoos with my mum Adopt a pet See the northern lights Experience New Year’s Eve in a different country Create a Reading Nook Make a difference Laugh Start a Family Starting a family is the thing I wanted most and something I didn’t expect as soon but couldn’t be happier. Getting Rid of Plastics in the Home

I was scrolling through my instagram feed a while ago and came across an image from Anne Hathaway. She mentioned an every day item, toothbrushes, and how every single toothbrush you have ever used is still and forever will be in landfill. I’m not sure why that got to me so much but it did. Then some time later a friend posted about the environmentally friendly bamboo toothbrushes you can get, next thing I know I’m down at my local health foods store and purchased a couple. Read more

How to plan a wedding in 6 months

So Sam and I recently got engaged! We’re super excited and happy about this obviously and I wanted to share my planning with you all. We are planning a rather short engagement and have given ourselves six months to get organised. This is ample enough time for us as we have already been saving for a while and don’t want to wait. Choosing to have a winter wedding makes it easier as well because it isn’t wedding season and vendors and suppliers are more readily available. Read more

Top 10 Favourite Christmas Movies

10: Jingle all the Way This one recently popped up on Netflix and I remember this being taped as a kid and watching it. It is the reason I remember all the reindeer’s names because Arnold Schwarzenegger is attempting to win a doll for his son and runs toward a radio station reciting the reindeer - dasher, dancer, prancer, vixen, comet, cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph. It also shows the crazy lengths parents legit go to to get their kids gifts on Christmas. Read more
